  • Giacomo is Great!
    5 of 5

Wonderful spot along the Monopoli / Mediterranean sea. I did a 10 day stay from June 26 thru July 6. A grocery store just down the way. The weather was 90 degree plus and sun all the time. Food just perfect. Lots of fun! Now just realize the Monopoli beaches are not like Miami or Daytona , so you need to be inventive. I finally found a spot for me to swim off the rocks along the walkway. Pretty cool. And you have some stairs up to this apartment , so work out a bit before. Any help you need Giacomo is there. Ciao , Glenn

  • Perfect for a Monopoli visit
    5 of 5

Me and my husband (58 and 55 years old) stayed in Monopoli for 10 days. We had a great time and were surprised over how vibrant the city was in the evenings! Our visit was in the end of June and lots of events were going on in the evenings like live music in many places. Alessandros flat is perfectly located, close to the water and in the middle of the beautiful old historical center. Even though it is close to restaurants and a popular walking streets, the flat is facing a small quite backstreet so we were not disturbed. When you sit at the balcony it feels quite private even though you can see people 25 meters away. Right outeside the building is a nice walking street, it is close to a grocery shop. A short walk to the swimming area and beaches. To reach the flat it is one flight of stairs to climb, to reach the roof terrace there are two more. We found the flat nicer than the pictures shows. From the living room you can reach the balcony, the same balcony that you can reach from the bedroom. Kitchen is small but sufficent, we had all our dinners at restaurants and only made breakfast at home that we had at the balcony. The bathroom is quite big, good space. The bedroom is beautiful with the painted tiles at the floor and the ceeling, high up like five meters up from the floor, gives the flat a feeling of space. The only windows are the balcony doors, one in the bedroom and one in the living room, that was great. In the warm weather we kept the doors closed and that made it possible to keep the flat cool without using the AC. Another positive thing - if you close the doors you can make it reallay dark and silent for a nice sleep! The AC in the living room is efficent and works well. Wifi worked out well and the apartment was very clean. We did not use the room upstairs but it looked nice. The balcony is big enough for two chairs, we used it a lot. It had shadow from about nine in the morning so it was never to hot. We also spent time every day att the roof terrace. It is a bit tricky to reach, a small narrow staircase but well worth the effort. It has a beautiful view! It is big, shared with a few other tenants, usually it is possible to find a corner with shadow so it is at nice place stay. We were mostly alone up there. The breeze is also nice and you can see the sea and the castle - beautiful even at late night. Over all Alessandros flat suited us perfect!
