  • Comfortable and clean apartment with friendly, helpful hosts
    5 of 5

Four of us stayed at this beautiful apartment which looks even better than in the photos! It is very clean and decorated in a pleasing manner. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well-equipped (we used the Nespresso maker a lot!), and the bathroom is huge! The shower is especially spacious and there is plenty of hot water and good water pressure. We appreciated having a washer/dryer available in the apartment. The apartment is within driving distance of many beautiful vineyards, wineries, and chateaux. There are places to eat, grocery stores, gas stations, banks and ATMs within a ten minute drive as well. Despite English being our primary language (and knowing only a few French words/phrases), we were able to communicate with the friendly town residents. Our hosts, Elise and Mas, are very hospitable. They live on the premises and are helpful without being intrusive. They were available to answer all of our questions and gave us many helpful suggestions. Any time I texted or called Elise, she or Mas responded immediately. They welcomed us into their family and even took us to visit some of their friends for wine and snacks! I would definitely recommend staying at this wonderful property in charming Cézac!

  • Wonderful Stay in Macau
    5 of 5

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week in Macau. We stayed in the Orangeraies Gite. The living room and kitchen were very spacious and nicely decorated. The bedrooms upstairs were very spacious also. The gite is situated in a lovely rural setting with beautiful trees and scenery around. Just a short walk up the road there are two lovely restaurants. The owners could not have been more welcoming and we really relaxed and had a wonderful holiday. A car is definitely needed but the location is great to explore the Medoc wine regions, to travel into Bordeaux or even to go a little further a field to Arachacon or Saint Emilion. We will definitely return and tell our family and friends. The only small addition that would help the gite would be to have a dvd player in the Gite. For non French speaking guests this would be good (all the tv channels were French). However I'd see this as as suggestion rather than it being an issue. A lovely gite.
