  • Memorable trip to St. John

My wife, three kids and I really enjoyed our stay Starlit Escape! The check-in process was great. The owners/managers reached out in advance by email and gave us instructions and then on the day of check-in, we text back and forth and they made sure that we knew where to go and what to do, which was great since the road signage is not the greatest. We rented a jeep, and it was more than enough for the road to get in and out of the property. We timed how long we were on the dirt road to their property and it was 3-4 minutes. It did not significantly increase our time to go anywhere on the island. We had heard and read that the Coral Bay side is quieter and that was exactly what we were looking for and happy that we stayed on the Coral Bay side. The master bedroom has the air conditioning which was really nice. Our kids stayed on the blow-up mattresses provided by Starlit Escape in the main living area and they slept great with the fans on and the windows open with the breeze coming through. Our kids loved their afternoon dips on the pool after a day of being salty in the ocean. Also, there is a small grocery store about 4-5 minutes from the property that we used a couple times and were surprised by the options available there. Its called the "Love City Market." Overall we had a great stay here and through the property managers were great! Thanks!

  • A wonderful place to do a lot or nothing at all

This is a beautiful, large, open modern home with views of the mountains and the water. The house is a place that you can comfortably spend a rainy day without feeling claustrophobic (this was important to us given the weather on several days of our stay) . The Jones could not have been more welcoming and helpful. It is in the less traveled part of the island, but close to beaches and hiking trails. A special treat is the hermit-crab-driven garbage disposal/composting system.
