We had a very positive experience staying at Steve's house. The house is very charming and cosy, with a fully decked out user friendly kitchen., at the Foot Hills of the Perinees Mountains and 2 mins from the town centre.
Diana Wilmot's house in Collioure was a comfortable and roomy spot for all 8 of us. We kept looking out the windows at the lovely view! Shopping for food and cooking were great fun, and we loved walking the nature preserve across the street with fabulous sea views then coming home to the warm house in early Spring cool weather. All dealings with Diana and her property manager Gavin were easy and a delight. They both couldn't have been more helpful.
Other particular pleasures were the Sunday market and the great spit-roasted poultry (we bought quail), walking around the sea side of the castle, shopping the special fish market in Port Vendres and longer excursions to the art museum in Ceret and the prehistory museum in Tautavel. We also liked the cloister and history museums in Elne.
Many thanks, Diana and Gavin for a great week.
