Going somewhere and not having access to internet or cell phone service is staggering at first, but it is such a blessing after a while. The river has fish in it that are pretty easy to catch. The views and the wildlife in the area are fun to watch for. We saw several deer, an alligator gar, a beaver or otter (tail looked too small for a beaver), a turkey, and I am sure there's more.
The house itself is very nice, but it's hard to stay in there. The stuff to do outside pulls you out there, and visiting the different stuff to do in the area is very inviting for a tourist.
The homeowner himself is such a great guy. I would love to come see him and stay here again in the future.
Close to attractions AND a straight shot! (no getting lost! ) A great weekend was had by all. The house is close to the city and main highways but you still have the peacefulness of country. There are grocery stores , tons of restaurants and shopping near by. We enjoyed a meal on the back patio and the gas grill was really nice and easy to use! The owner was fantastic to make sure we knew how how everything works in the house from light switches to wifi to great recommendations on places to visit. She went out of her way to get coupons for discounts on local attractions, plus fresh fruit, cheese and a bottle of wine when we arrived!
