A very nice, thoughtfully arranged and outfitted home. The large open kitchen and living/dining/balcony are very comfortable. Perfect for a family (like us) with the three en suite bedrooms. Great location too. A great stay all-in-all.
The villa is very comfortable, with lovely views and excellent outdoor space. We basically were only inside to sleep, and spent all our time at the villa on the porch. The driveway is steep, but our little VW Polo did fine - just put it in 1st gear and floor it! A neighbor cat adopted us during our stay, greeting us every morning when we opened the doors, eating lizards and mice, and then waiting for us to return in the evening for sweet cuddles. The villa would benefit from a written guide to let guests know how to use the cooktop and tiny washing machine - maybe it's only Americans who aren't familiar with these appliances, but we had to search the internet for how to turn on the hob!
Laurence was a wonderful hostess who made sure we were settled in when we arrived. We would definitely return to this home - but just heard that Norwegian is ending their service from JFK! Note to visitors - Pointe a Pitre is a ghost town, not worth a visit. We spent one day on the other side of the island, but Basse-Terre is where it's at.
