  • Spacious and quiet place
    5 of 5

We've spent almost two weeks in this nice villa in Dorgali enjoying breakfasts and dinners on the terrace, outdoor grill and astonishing views on surroundings. The place is really quiet so we've slept very well. You can reach beautiful beaches and natural and historical points of interests in a few minutes. The owner and the manager are both very warm and open. Their hospitality proves that Sardinians are really nice people. Do try the local wine from the owner - it's fantastic. If you're more on the adrenalin side Enrico, the manager, is a skilled guide and climber. Totally recommended!

  • Wonderful home with great terraces!

We had a great time staying at Casa Bardilla. The home seems to be recently renovated/remodeled and is rather spacious. It was very clean as well. I would definitely stay there again. The two terraces are wonderful for relaxing during the evening. The house is a short drive from Cala Goloritze, Santa Maria Navaresse / Tortuga Beach, Lido Orri, and various historical sites. There is no dedicated parking spot, but there were always parking spaces available nearby. The town has a grocery store, gelateria, and various restaurants within walking distance - all quite inexpensive. (1.50 for a gelato, 4.50 for a 2-liter bottle of wine, 9 for a steak dinner. Much cheaper than Santa Maria Navaresse.) There was a little confusion regarding where to meet the property owner's representative (incorrect instructions from their property management company) that cost us a couple hours, but the owner was gracious & helpful with sorting that out. (The owner and her daughter were wonderful to deal with & easy to reach.) I can only think of two slight negatives. First, there is a 100 euro cleaning fee which I wish was disclosed on VRBO. Second, there is a bit of noise from 9 pm until midnight from scooters on the street & people at the nearby pizzaria/bar/restaurant that's open late. It wasn't too bad, and you'll probably have a certain amount of noise at most rental properties. I'm a light sleeper, so it was a little inconvenient at times, but it won't bother you if you go to sleep late or if you're a heavy sleeper. (And if you're concerned about noise, don't worry about the bell tower across the street; it stops chiming at 9 pm.) Again, the house was lovely and is close to numerous wonderful sites. We visited 6 countries on this trip & the time we spent at Casa Bardila / Sardinia was our favorite.
