We loved our stay at Las Casas del Soto. Ana, the owner, met us at the home, showed us the home, gave detailed instructions on how to use the wood stove which had more than ample supplies (and which was absolutely lovely!) and showed us the local cafe. The home is located in a very small town, surrounded by fields and farms. If you're looking for a relaxing, quiet, authentic rural Spain experience this is your place! The home is located a twenty minute drive from Segovia, which we visited twice and which is a gorgeous historic city. Coca, Salamanca, and Avila are all within driving distance of the home for day trips. Although we only drove through it, there are national parks within driving distance as well. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and in general the home was everything we were looking for. Thank you, Ana, for sharing your home with us!
We had a marvellous time staying at this house. The house lacked nothing and the owner Maria Jesus, and her family were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We arrived late, yet their patience extended to comfort! We travelled as a large group of friends with children and I can honestly say that the whole party were impressed with the house. The size and space gave everyone room for peace if needed or for fun get togthers. Kitchen was fully equipped, even providing a juicer for making orange juice form the oranges given to us by the owner. The best part I think was the basement, with a children's area and adult zone! The sheer quietness of the area and beautiful sunset gave us a wonderfully restful time. A heartfelt thanks to Maria Jesus!
