  • Comfort and peace of mind in the city.

Warning: This post is filled with positivity and no, no bribery involved. Choosing a place to stay while on holiday is a gamble and this round, we hit the jackpot. The apartment was as advertised, as in what you read, and see, in the advert, is what you get, and a bit more; in total, a blessing. Yup, all you need is your bag of clothes. So well kept is the place, the little pantry is the only nook you can tell that others had been there before us, and believe me, it is a lovely thing. So before you go out grocery shopping around the corner, if you intend to cook, check out that pantry and add to it, like we did , for the next visitors, if you want to. If not in the mood to cook, there is a McD's about 50m right, just past Brika. We rented a car, so the secure parking bay within the apartment block was heaven sent because parking in the city is limited, finicky (do pay attention to the duration posted on them) and expensive. As it was summer, the park across the road was teeming with life; both the feathered kinds and the two legged ones. There were lots of folks sitting there as early as 6am, soaking up the sun rays, having picnic breakfasts, hanging out to have little parties till way past 10pm, closer to the weekend . I enjoyed watching life at the park from the comfort of the bench on the wonderful balcony. The trees, especially the jacarandas, are gorgeous. Brika, the restaurant downstairs, is a place you should check out if you want a taste of Greek food; the slow roasted lamb, a must! However, once you come back into the apartment, close the sliding doors and pull down the blinds, it's a quiet little spot once again. BTW, the apartment lock is a smart one, so make sure you have your key with you, cause it's self locking. Coming to the owners, Ahmad and Veronika. My only disappointment was I couldn't meet them. Other than that, they were easy to contact, and Ahmad patiently answered all my questions. My parents and I had a packed itinerary; almost 3/4 tank used up driving all over the place, so it was wonderful that we had a nice place to come back to at the end of the day. We stayed from 7a.m. the 6th to 3a.m. the 10th and I would recommend this apartment to anyone who cannot stand the confines of a hotel room. My parents and I had the best time in Perth and yes, this apartment made a significant difference. Thank you.
