  • One of the better cabins we have stayed in in NH
    4 of 5

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this nice rustic cabin in Tamworth. Although the place is big enough for like 6 people, my husband and I chose it as it was one of few accommodations with a king size bed. Nice kitchen—made breakfast every morning. Plenty of dishes, pots/pans, etc to use. Everything was very clean too, from kitchen to bathroom to the bedroom and couch. Living room is very cozy. Heat worked well. Not sure how old this place is but it was nice to stay in a cabin that was not musty smelling. I also liked the cabin journal that was on the counter where you could log your visit and read other visitors’ entries—it was a nice touch! There were a few small things that need fixing/updating. We tried to get a fire started in the woodstove but both lighters we found had no gas remaining in them—neither would light beyond a spark. The coffee pot is actually a Keurig and I think this should be noted in the listing, as I brought regular coffee w/ me instead of K-cups. The shower also does not get really hot—more lukewarm. The batteries were dead in the DVD remote so we had to switch them out w/ the TV remote when using the DVD player. I did have to contact John at one point b/c we actually lost power for about 3 hours Sat morning. There were high winds throughout the night and morning and my guess is a power line went down. I left John a voicemail very early in the morning and he was quick to reply letting me know that Eversource was aware of the outage and it was scheduled to be back up and running within a few hours.

  • Wonderful, Clean and Peaceful Cabin
    5 of 5

We had a great stay in Bartlett NH at this cabin. The cabin is in a very secluded and peaceful area, but close to the ski regions for both cross-country and downhill. Condition of the cabin is very clean and old-school NH feel. The hosts were very helpful and attentive, and great to deal with. We look forward to coming back next year.
