  • Luxury River Retreat
    5 of 5

This luxury river retreat is amazing! House is comfortable, relaxing and beautiful! Everything has been anticipated for a carefree stay. This tranquil place is my happy place. We have stayed here several times and each has been so enjoyable. Thank you Chris for opening your home to all my family, including the Bow Wows. Our furry family loves it as much as we do!

  • Great cabin, great location

I come up to the area every year around this time and this is the second time Ive stayed in or near the seqouias while working the World Ag Expo. Ive researched a lot of places and have learned a few pitfalls. One being "charming". When you are researching the area for places to stay you will find a lot of listings that claim they hold a bit of nostalgic "charm", that is code for this is an old place and you will find the spiders and old linens "charming". Another thing to look out for is location. In the valley, everything is an hour from anything, and a 5 mile drive can take 45 minutes depending on the conditions and how many cutbacks inclines the road may have. Neither of these were a concern at Rick's place in Three Rivers. It's accessible and it is a beautiful drive in and out from the cabin. The place is pristine and very tastefully decorated and includes all the amenities one would need. This is seriously a lovely place and I wish I had known about it for previous trips. Less than a 1/2 mile from the home is a grocery and pharmacy and a mexican restaurant. I had the mole enchiladas three nights in a row, do yourself a favor.... Rick has some room I believe to increase the price on the rental within what the market will dictate, so get in before he does. Rick was a great host and I hope to be able to return next year.
