  • Great holiday experience!
    5 of 5

We spent 3 weeks in this property over the winter holidays and we had an amazing experience. The apartment was very clean, warm and cosy, it had everything needed for a long family stay. Very conveniently located and full of charm. Thank you so much! We made unforgettable memories in Saint Gervais and we hope to visit again!

  • Great location and host

It is a great location close to the gondola and slope. Sadly there was no snow for us to use the ski in ski out but since the gondola wasn't that far that was really not a problem. You will get some exercise going up and down the slope when buying groceries and what not. The room is quite small but it is pretty good planning. One good thing is that the toilet and bathroom (as it seems to be the case in many French homes) are separate which means even if you are 4 people you can manage the bathroom times pretty good. There is one sofa you can make to a twin bed so it easily fits two people. Then there are two bunkbeds which are quite small. And there is no wifi. For us it was perfect! There was some shortage of electric outages but nothing you couldn't work around. You will have a good supplied kitchen, no real oven but the microwave offers some good options and you will have a small stove. Cleaning up is easy since you have good cleaning supplies and a vacuum cleaner. The balcony is also great for hanging out your sweaty wear before taking it in. The host Jeanne is really sweet and he really does the best he can in order to help his guests feel satisfied. He lives in the same building and floor (during Christmas times) so you can easily reach him in case you need some assistance. At the first day he offered us some tea and baguette and told us to ask him anything if we needed any help, even help with grocery shopping if we needed a drive. At the 25th he was very kind to drive us to Les Contamines, another part of the mountain with another Ski lift system (under the Evasion Ski pass), he even picked us up in the end of the day! Jeanne does not know a lot of English but do not let that trick you into thinking you can't communicate! With some effort from both sides we could somewhat understand each other. It is possible to get there with ski busses that is included with your ski pass but for some reason the people working with selling the Ski pass knows nothing! Not even when speaking French to them. There is both buses where you pay, not included in the ski pass that takes you directly to the other Ski lift system Les Contamines, and there are ski busses that are included for free in the ski pass. You will have to change busses but it doesn't take that long to reach your destination. I would really like to thank the host for an amazing vacation, I am so grateful and I wish the best for you! With Kind Regards, Sofi
