Four-and-a-half stars Lovely! We stayed there during a high ocean swell and at night we got used to hearing the large waves at White Sands beach very plainly and peacefully. (The waves are also crashing during the day but there's just something about hearing them while you sleep). In the day bird sounds were abundant, including roosters in the morning which were not too bad, just quaint. The lanai is something of a haven with interesting stone walls and clean grass, which we enjoyed for yoga. Porch and outdoor table were clean and comfortable. Great area to stay, well-cared for homes with a neighborhood feel. Inside, the living room/kitchen is snug, but adequate. Like most cottages could use more counter space. No dishwasher, but if you are like me you would want the place for prepping quick easy meals. The kitchen is very well-stocked, though, you could cook just about anything there I think. I like that the host makes sure there are paper towels and kleenex for the guests, sometimes at vacation rentals one has to ask. Bathroom has a nice shower which could fit two and vanity is fine. Good towels and linens, including beach towels. Bedroom is peaceful with a placid feel appropriate for relaxation. Totally clean. We liked the queen mattress a lot. The furniture is pretty. I like the thought the host put into the room. Clean floors, walls, counters, linens throughout. Washer dryer and beach gear for use. We didn't use the grill, but I would expect that as with the rest of the place, it's well cared for. Host was responsive to a couple inquiries. Like others have noted, it's a 5 minute walk to beautiful White Sands beach. But don't miss the other part of the beach with the lanai to the north. We'd like-no love- to stay here again, Mahalo Small suggestions for improvements submitted to the host.

This is a great choice for singles or couples wanting to see the real Hawai’i vibe that it’s residents get to live everyday. Thanks George and company would love to come back again, we had a great relaxing time at your place.
