The Kolob Canyon guest house was a perfect spring break get-away for my 9 year old daughter and me. The price was unbelievable for such a great room. We stayed in the Hawaiian room, which was exquisitely decorated with the owners collection of Hawaiian-themed decor. This room was accessible by a common space, which we shared with other spring-breakers from Stanford. The shared common space had a nice sized TV, couch, DVD movies-galore, a dorm fridge, small table and stools, free post-cards/stamps and a bathroom with separate vanity and shower/toilet. This common space led outside to an inviting flagstone patio with a grill, table and chairs. The owners, Anne & John, were absolutely charming and excellent hosts - providing some background & history of the area, as well as providing suggestions of things to do outside the national park. They also provided hot beverage options (hot chicolare, instant coffee, tea) an instant tea kettle, and paper plates/napkins/utensils. Although my
daughter wasn't interested, they also had a children’s play room, with bunk beds. I would definitely stay there again. One thing I would caution is that their flagstone staircase was a little cumbersome with our large suitcases. The entry from the patio to the common space was keypad protected with a provided code, and each room had their own key. Anne & John were extremely thorough with directions/instructions and it was overall a wonderful experience. Thanks again!
