Greater Sydney: all the houses

  • Great location
    4 of 5

This home is in a great location. It however does NOT have WiFi, nor A/C, which in the middle of summer in Sydney is a difficulty. We were told there were fans, except for one room, which the manager brought by for us. The shower fixture broke while there, and was fixed immediately. Maybe not what we were hoping for, but definitely sufficient and well-managed with good communication.

  • Nicest host & great location, especially for young families
    5 of 5

I've lost count of how many vacation rentals we've stayed at (at least 40), so I feel I can say with some authority that Leigh was the nicest host we've ever had the pleasure of staying with (and we've had some really nice hosts). Lots of small touches, great communication, and extra effort to make our stay as nice as possible (even when our travel plans changed last minute due to a canceled flight). The location is ideal for young families or anyone who wants to explore. The PowerHouse museum is directly across the street which houses a small, but fun, public playground in the shade. Central Station is a 10 minute walk which gets you to everything. Darling Harbour had an amazing playground (top 5 in our travels), another great museum, and the Chinese Garden of Friendship. We walked the majority of our time with our 5 and 8 year-old daughters and never ran out of things to do nearby. It is a tiny place, but we didn't find that to be an issue and the small size was well worth the location. And you can hear people walking by if they are talking loud at night. It's not a noisy area by any means (though there is a university nearby). We always travel with white noise machines and none of has had any trouble sleeping. It was so nice to have a kitchen, washer, air conditioning, etc. I would completely recommend a couple or young family staying here without hesitation especially if your plan is to explore the city.
