Booking Process; Homeaway gave me an incorrect price at first attempt. I would not wish to use them again Property; Pleasing outlook and rooms suitable. Thought the bedroom in the main part bit small. Well equipped and useful range of food items left Owners; Ann and John were very pleasant and did all they could to settle us all in and explain various aspects of their holiday home. Matlock; we all liked Matlock, a town doing something positive to help people who live locally. We used the Sycamore Inn and thought it good Weather; Our few days were during various Hurricanes so we did not see Derbyshire Dales in the best circumstances Places to Visit; Wirksworth advertised a Heritage Centre which turned out to be closed---- in fact not yet opened. However we enjoyed the National Stone Centre and the ECO centre next to it. Especially that some of the Courses would be available to people on some benefits. We need people to obtain skills that could lead to new Employment for them and to encourage young people to remain within their Community. Cromford Canal area well worth a visit Hills; The only flat roads and footpaths were on the various maps. I found the hill up to Box Tree Cottage was best tackled in a car We enjoyed the holiday, would hope to come again and to have more suitable weather to enable us to see more of the countryside Clive Prestidge
