Dean and his wife are super hosts! I have stayed at a lot of different Vrbo/home away and air bnb places, and these are hosts are top notch! They welcomed us warmly and showed us all around, offering all types of recommendations and help. We had asked before we arrived if there were any outlet converters (we had a few but wanted to check) and Dean actually bought us a brand new one! The first night Dean even stopped by with a beautiful platter of local meats and cheeses and a wonderful bottle of local wine! We could not have asked for better hosts!
As for the home itself, it was also very nice. You could tell it was all recently brand new. It’s about 45 min from the Split airport and about 30 min from Split itself. It sits up in the mountains surrounded by nature. The farm behind has goats, sheep, peacocks, chickens and roosters! The small town of omis is a very beautiful and short 10 min drive away. It’s a great location to visit other parts of Croatia as well. We drove up to Plitvice Lakes, Krka waterfalls, and down to Dubrovnik!
Our family was perfectly comfortable here with plenty of space. We were. It blessed with good weather during our time, it was cold and rained a lot. But we still made use of the pool (unheated), the hot tub and sauna. Everything was provided from towels inside and out to all the necessary kitchen supplies and spices.
We really loved our time staying here and hope to visit again! Just a heads up, it was our families first time visiting Croatia from USA and we were not familiar that it is Croatian law a hotel or rental hosts has to register all guests in a system by entering our passport information. Because we were unaware we were thrown off and a little guarded giving out valuable personal passport information, but it is completely normal and the way they do things in Croatia.
We stayed for a week in Apartment I of this property, which is nicely located in the small town of Pisak on the Dalmatian coast between Omis and Makarska, not far from Brela.
The apartment is clean, well equipped and well maintained. Dragana is very helpful and is always around to assist and give advice. The small pool is nice and very welcome after a warm summer's day.
Apartment I is on the ground floor of the property. The two bedrooms are not very spacious but beds are nice and the rooms are simple yet elegantly decorated. The apartment has two bathrooms.
The apartment is located on top of the village; the beach is a few hundred metres away and can be reached by walking down a set of steep chairs. There are 2 nice restaurants down the beach at the little port.
