Leave the city behind when you enter the compound. Exceptional hospitality, privacy and envious locale. Cook onsite, exceptional breakfast one block away and everything NOLA on much safer Frenchman Street .

  • Charming upstairs unit in great location, not for
    4 of 5

We stayed here February 8-10, 2019 during Mardi Gras. I don't think it was initially stated that this is an upstairs unit, which was fine. However, larger people would definitely have trouble getting around back to the stairs, as there is a very narrow space you have to walk through to get to them. Also, there are two lock boxes in front. Ours was located near the ground, and we over looked it. We kept trying the one in plain sight and failing, having to call the property manager, but she was easily reachable, and told us where to find it. No problem. We loved the location of this house. It's an easy 15-20 minute walk to the French Quarter, and Frenchmen Street is just a couple blocks away. Also, the Krewe of Chewbacchus Parade route was just two blocks away as well. There is street parking in front of the house, and we didn't have to move our car once because everything was in walking distance. However, it was said that there would be bikes to ride if we chose to, but there was only one children's bike. It's a charming house with many imenities. Full kitchen (with gas stove, microwave, fridge, coffee and coffee pot, dishes), bedroom (with sleep sound machine), bathroom (with claw foot tub and shower in one), living area (with futon and Roku on the TV), Wi-Fi, hard wood floors. There were many bath towels there, but we really could've used more wash cloths. Overall, we really enjoyed it. Just a few things that they should make more clear before you purchase it.
