We arrived after following instructions on the better route to take. We went the other way once and the road was horrible. Upon arrival, my daughter and I were in awe. The property is much nicer than I expected and I had high expectations. We walked in and immediately felt at home with the fireplace going. They supply everything you could possibly need and even left us some surprises. If I ever owned a log cabin, and I’d love to, it would be just like this one. The squirrel is an added bonus. He will stare at you through the window and beg until you throw out some provided peanuts. He’s strange looking to us Texas folks but friendly and very trusting. In closing, I highly recommend this place. There are no neighbors in sight nor did we ever see or hear anyone during our 5 days there. My only suggestion is to replace the bulbs on the front porch. It’s extremely dark up there so that would help a lot. If you’re contemplating renting this place, don’t hesitate. I promise you will love it!
We were impressed by the warm and inviting feel of the little cottage! The outside had several places to sit and enjoy the landscaping of flowers, plants, and little waterfalls. It was a peaceful and relaxing little oasis in their little gardens. The inside was clean, cozy, and well maintained. We recommend the Central Grill and Coffee House for breakfast. Hiking or tram at the San Dia Mountains was breath taking. The Botanical Gardens were beautiful. The Historic 1930's El Vado hotel across the street is a great place to sit and have great eats and If you want to drinks. If you want to buy Indian Jewelry buy it in Albuquerque for the best prices! Santa Fe is much higher on jewelry! We found our best deal at The Shop at Old Town. Antiquities Restaurant was superb dining and romantic but be advised is expensive. We visited Santa Fe for a day we enjoyed the Square and the Arts district and Geronimo's restaurant. Geronimo's is romantic and the food was superb and well worth the cost. Bill was kind and friendly! We will definitely be back!
