  • Beautiful villa with a gorgeous view of the Costa Smeralda!

We had a wonderful stay at this villa, which is located just outside the picturesque town of San Pantaleo. The villa is beautiful inside and out, and the infinity pool is superb. It even has LED lights that change color at night! The grounds are quite extensive and there are olive trees, plants and flowers throughout the property, which is set against breathtaking views of the coast and mountains. We had a group of seven adults (one married couple and five singles) and we were very comfortable. The property is divided into two apartments. The larger apartment has three bedrooms (two queen/one twin) and two full baths with stand-up showers. The other apartment has two bedrooms (one queen/one single) with one full bath. The beds are comfortable and the linens and towels are high quality. Each apartment has a full kitchen and combined living/dining spaces. Both apartments are well appointed and the furnishings are very high-end. There are three outdoor dining/lounging spaces, in addition to the lounge chairs at the pool. Every morning, our group gathered for breakfast on the outdoor patio overlooking the spectacular coastline; each night we drank wine by the pool and gazed at the stars (we don't see them in Chicago). We could not have asked for a more perfect setting. The location of the villa is convenient to the Coasta Smeralda beaches and towns. There are two beaches within a 5 minute drive of the villa, Rena Bianca and Portisco. Other beaches, such as Spiaggia Capriccioli and Spiaggia del Principe, are a 20 minute drive. Baja Sardinia, the northernmost beaches, are about 25 minutes from the villa. San Teodoro, where the famous La Cinta and Brandinchi beaches are located, is also an easy drive (30-40 minutes). The historic town of San Pantaleo is a 5 minute drive which has great restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries. There is a market every Thursday morning with high quality merchandise made by local Artisans. The owners, Giorgio and Mariapia, are wonderful! They greeted us at the villa and even had a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine waiting for us after our long journey. They really made us feel at home. The next day, Mariapia brought us coffee pods for the Nespresso coffee machine, and on our last day, they joined us for a farewell gathering. Giorgio's son, Paolo, brought some delicious pastries. I highly recommend this villa for your Sardinia vacation. It is the perfect 'home away' from home in a great location.
