My first impression of what my stay in Brindisi would be like was our host, Mina offering to pick us up at the train station, even though it was less than a 10 minute walk to the apartment.
The apartment was quite spacious and obviously very well kept up. As part of our welcome package we were given enough breakfast food to last us for our entire stay.
The location, which is in the old city was also ideal for visiting it. The train station did not require complicated directions to find and was close by making it great for day trips.
I had originally thought of visiting Lecce and Taranto. We did visit Lecce but at the recommendation of Mina went to Ostuni rather than Taranto.
Having been to Florence about a week earlier, Lecce was a little disappointing but still a good day trip. With regard to Ostuni, Mina was completely right. It was a wonderful way to spend a day.
All in all I recommend this apartment. Its comfortable, spacious, well kept up and in a quiet neighborhood. As for location it is convenient to local historical sites, trains, the waterfront, restaurants, etc. And none of those things require complicated directions to find.
