The Mokolii Beach House Rocks.

5 of 5
My group of 5 was looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and we absolutely could not have done better. Seriously. If the Mokolii Beach House is available, book it, or else you'll be missing out. First off, the pictures don't do the property justice. It's absolutely beautiful, literally steps away from the beach, and is in hands down the best location on the Oahu. It might not seem all that central, but if you're interested in surfing, kayaking, hiking, and awesome food, it's all just a short drive away in any direction. A short drive north will take you to famous surf spots and some awesome restaurants on the North Shore, and you're an equal distance from the southern hot spots in Honolulu. Our group of five full grown men was comfortable; there's definitely more than enough room to stretch out. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans - everything was perfect, accessible, and well maintained. Bedrooms were a good size, and the beds (as well as the couches) were comfy. There's also some fishing gear, reef walkers, coolers, kayaks, lawn chairs, boogie boards - basically everything you need while you're out and about. We had anticipated needing to purchase towels, coolers, chairs, the whole nine yards - definitely a nice surprise that the rental came with all of the above, and more. Deborah, the property manager, is beyond great, and has all kinds of awesome advice about travelling around the island, where to eat, what to do - I doubt we would have had the same stellar experience without her. She was attentive, and really catered to our needs and the kind of experience we were looking for. She was there when we needed her - thanks so much Deborah! The only (minor) complaint was that the WiFi was spotty - it's a real non-issue, though. You're in paradise. Get off your phone and experience heaven on earth - you'll survive without Facebook! All in all, we had an amazing trip, and this was mostly due to the Mokolii Beach House. We're already planning our second (and third, and fourth, and fifth..) trip back, and the goal is to stay here again!
