  • Great Place, but a Couple Complaints
    4 of 5

Overall, the place was great. Beautiful view, great room, decent free breakfast. When we showed up, we were taken to the Resort next door. After arriving at the Phuphaya Resort, they didn’t have our reservation which was booked and fully paid 3 months in advance. The listing price increased after we made our booking as well. To top it off, the wifi was weak and kept cutting out. Those are my complaints, but I loved the place and would stay again. The pool is a great place to cool off and the balconies of the Villas are very secluded. The Villa rooms are beautiful, but I havent seen the townhouse style rooms. Do not stay here if you don’t like to walk up hills, though. We definitely got our exercise in! Staff were friendly and weren’t pushy or overbearing - it often seemed like we had the place to ourselves. It was nice to relax and get away from the hustle of the loud Phi Phi beach and the busy Main Street. You will also hear loud music from the beach many nights a week, but enjoy it - you can see some pretty cool fire shows and still watch the sunset.

  • Calmness in Krabi!
    5 of 5

Calmness in Krabi! This house is the perfect location for those who want to experience the serenity of Krabi! Pam is a great hostess and provides excellent, prompt responses to any inquiry you may have. She scheduled our airport pickup in which we were able to stop at a food market to get supplies prior to arriving at our rental. The house was extremely quiet and clean, pool was very refreshing, beds were comfortable and linens were nice. The AC units work very well in both bedrooms. Pam also arranged an excellent private longtail boat tour of the Hong Islands….Absolutely stunning! It’s totally worth it….the people on the “group” boats looked miserable. Our boat guide timed everything perfectly so we avoided the masses. Having use of the scooter is great….our favorite restaurant, The Baan-Ton-Mai (The Treehouse Café) has the best pineapple fried rice. Another great outing is going to Rai Lay beach from Aonang – it’s totally worth $3 US round trip – recommend going early in the AM to beat the crowds and the heat. Thank you Pam for being an amazing hostess and sharing Krabi with us!
