Excellent holiday property

5 of 5
My wife and I with our two almost teenage kids spent a week at the Maison Maurice and had a great time overall. The villa is located centrally in a quiet place of Valeggio Sul Mincio, some 5 to 10 minutes walking from a number of restaurants offering excellent Italian food (especially hand made tortellini). The apartment itslef provides an extremely comfortable place to stay, the furnishing and decorations are a perfect match of modern and rustic style, there's really notning one could complain about in this regard. Mauro and his wife Nadia are really nice people taking good care of your comfort as well as the house itself, it's easy to feel like being at home here. Lake Garda, Verona and even Venezia or Milano are all within reach by car, allowing one to easily go for a one day round trip and enjoy both fun by the lake and unique historical architecture of this region. Overall, we all agree we had a great vacation and would not think twice when it comes to the place to stay if we ever wanted to visit this area again. Thank you Mauro and Nadia!

Beautiful home and surrounds, spectacular views, excellent host

5 of 5
The 3 days we spent here was our kids favourite stay of a 45 day trip. The views are as good or better than those shown in the listing. The house itself is stunning. Beautifully renovated with every detail looked after including fantastic heating, bathrooms, well equipped large kitchen, and really comfortable bedding spread over 5 split levels with heaps of room to really settle in and spread out. There are numerous sitting areas, fire places and equally as many outside sitting/dining areas each with their own lovely view and well equipped outdoor furniture. The property is located on a large lot of land which is shared with the host, which is handy if you need anything. The properties are adequately private so there are no issues there. They have horses, 2 dogs and 2 adorable kittens (George & Peter) who my kids absolutely fell in love with as they spent a lot of time at our place. My middle son cried when we were leaving! The dogs are also great and my other son took to Remi the Jack Russell, wandering around the property hunting for grass hoppers for hours. The town itself is very quiet which is exactly what we were after - situated on a hill overlooking the lake (no direct access to the lake) but has a couple of good grocery stores and lovely restaurants also with great views over the lake. There is a path at the rear of the property which leads to the lake. This is a challenging path, and while I only got about half way down (which took about 30 minutes), the scenery on the path itself was lovely. Our only regret is not staying longer.
