This was our fourth visit to this apartment....that speaks for itself! It is exactly as described...great location and views, perfectly kept, spotlessly clean and amazing attention to detail. Communication with owners could not be better also. It is a wonderful location for a holiday and we would totally recommend it.
We stayed in this beautiful and recently fully renovated property for a week this summer and can highly recommend it without hesitation.
In particular we liked the location in the center of St. Rémy, 3 minutes walking "downtown", the cleanness and the fact that this little townhouse was recently completely renovated in a fashion, which is providing modern standards (wifi, air-con, bathrooms, tv, kitchen) while preserving the soul of an older stone-house. Have I mentioned that the property comes with a private garage?
The owners are a very friendly couple, communication done in French or English. Our messages were returned almost instantly and take-over / give back procedures were very, very straightforward.
Being there for only a week we also appreciated that all consumables one may reasonably require had been made available so there was no need for us to by basics, though the property is very close to a supermarket.
St. Rémy itself is a very, very nice little town between Arles and Avignon and even though we hadn't had a car we were quite busy exploring and could have easily spend an additional week there.
In St. Remy there's a huge market on Wednesdays not to be missed. The impressive site of ancient city Glanum is about 20 minutes easy walk south. If you like walking a bit more - following the road 400m past Glanum you see a trial (GR6) signposted to the right which leads to a beautiful little lake and further to Baux (not to be missed as well). It's about 10km one-way and you can take a bus back from there. (There're is 3-5 (?) buses daily between Arles and Avignon going through St. Rémy.)
Recommended in St. Remy: Butcher right across the parking lot, fishmonger in town (open till noon) and the wine store opposite. Last but not least: Sun Ebike Rental (about 5 mins. walk from property). Very friendly, professional and uncomplicated. Get you an Mountain bike with electric support and have fun riding Les Apilles!!!
