Terrific - all the household gear you need and more (all good quality), ski locker room in the basement that leads straight onto trails and on to lifts (ski in and out), lovely balcony facing west (for post ski apres), resort shuttle bus (continuous) 3 mins walk from front door, mini supermarket 1 min walk (good value too), Just be aware its located on the west edge of the resort up a hill (Les Deux 1800 i think its called) and so a 20 min downhill walk into main parts of town. We caught Bens Bus from Grenoble and got dropped at the Tourist centre (Stop #1 its called) if you walk you'll need to do thorough research on how to get to the apartment or you JUST WON'T find it (surprised details aren't on their web site). ALSO - 2 Adults MAX!
a. no bed linen (sheets, pillow or doona covers) or towels (all available for an extra charge apparently) - NOT stated on the website .
b. absolute c**ck up trying to get into the property. We were informed that arrivals were taken from 16.00 and to phone Sabina (apartment manager) on arrival for the keys. Arrived approx 17.30 and phoned but she knew nothing about our reservation or the owner and told us to contact the owner. SO, we are standing outside the apartment and its snowing - luckily we find a neat little bistro nearby (down the ramp near mini mart - terrific crepe and vin chaude deal) and fire up our lap top to get owners phone and text her. Some minutes later - VERY anxious as we have no idea how this will play out - we got a call from Sabine giving us another phone number to contact. To cut a long story short, it was an hour and a half from our arrival that someone finally arrived with the keys (after another cock up by the managers) and we got into the apartment.. SOOOO the moral of the story is let Sabine or contact person know days in advance your approx arrival time and then phone ahead on the day to confirm (we believe she's located in Grenoble and think she arranges key handover through mates / associates in les Deux).
c. the owner wanted us to hand over 300 euros in cash as security so we contacted Homeaway and they advised NO - they have an online process to do this.
d. We had to hand over 50 euros for cleaning when we received the keys (NOT stated on the website either). Not totally surprised by the charge but left our wallet and budget unexpectedly thin.
