The apartment is in one of the best locations in Vernazza, which in our opinion is the nicest town in 5 terre. We really enjoyed it!!!
We spent 5 days there with our 2 adult daughters and found it very clean and the living area spacious. The kitchen is just adequate especially for North American standards, but most people won't be there to cook anyway.
The main "bedroom" is awesome, with a really creative setup to make use of the space - With some nice curtain for privacy. This is an ancient building, so the space distribution options were obviously limited.
The second sleeping area is a tiny room (very cute if you are not claustrophobic) but right beside the bathroom. It relies on some creative door arrangement to make the best of the small space. This makes for very little privacy in the bathroom.
The bed in the main area was surprisingly comfortable, but the 2 small beds in the room were not as comfortable. If there are 2 couples going you have to pick privacy or comfort, but definitely not both.
The shower is TINY. It is functional, but don't expect to enjoy your shower. Again, it's very clear that they were constrained by the space available.
The only thing that we actually disliked was the sectional sofa. The layout is great, but the cushions and springs are completely sagged, so it's very uncomfortable. This is the only reason we wouldn't give a 5 star. The space would have been perfect to relax after a hike, but that sofa has been there for about 5 years too long.
I'm sure part of the reason for it still being there is that it will be a nightmare to get something that big in there.
We would still go back and would recommend this apartment, but we hope that sofa is replaced soon.
I stayed here with my 2 daughters, 9 and 10, for October half-term. We had a fabulous holiday, the apartment is spacious, bright, quiet and well-equipped. The location is perfect with a parking space, terrace and balcony. The closest beach is a 5 minute walk as is the centre of Tellaro. There are a few restaurants a minute's walk away. You can catch the bus to Lerici just across the road. From Lerici you can take the boat to the stunning Portovenere and the Cinque Terre. Tellaro is classed as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and it doesn't disappoint. There are a couple of cafés/restaurants by the small beach in the village centre - great place to watch the sunset. In town there is also a pizzeria, gelateria and lovely cafe for breakfast.
Vittorio and his wife were very welcoming and helpful, we fell in love with Tellaro and will definitely come back!
