There are five groups of islands - Upper, Central, and Lower. Top islands include Key Largo, Islamorad, Marathon, Big Pine Key, and Key West. But there are 800+ islands in all!

Key Largo: Diving Capital of the World

The "Gateway to the Keys" - and "Diving Capital of the World," to boot - is the nothernmost key. It became famous after the 1948 film Key Largo, which was, ironically enough - filmed in Hollywood.
