New HomeAway TV Commercial Celebrates Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” and Invites Travelers to ‘Be our Guest’ at a 14th Century Castle

 

 

AUSTIN, Texas, March 7, 2017 – HomeAway®, the world leader in vacation rentals with more than two million places to stay, today launches a new ad campaign to invite travelers to ‘Be our Guest’ and enter the #HomeAwayCastle competition that celebrates Disney’s new live-action adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast®.”

 

The spot features lyrics from the original animated film’s ‘Be Our Guest’ song while combining castle shots of the films characters, Belle and the Beast, with shots of a modern family making their own fairy tale-like memories in the 14th-century Duns Castle in Scotland. Duns Castle is where a lucky contest winner and up to 20 of his or her guests will stay this summer.

 

“‘Be our guest. Be our guest. Put our service to the test.’ sums up how we help vacationers find the best options out of HomeAway’s more than two million unique places to stay,” said Steven Stamstad, vice president of global brand at HomeAway. “Celebrating this highly-anticipated film with Disney is the perfect fit for HomeAway because both of our brands are in the business of making magical memories of a lifetime.”

 

Directed by Rami Hachache from the award-winning production company Prettybird, the ad will air in France, Germany, Hong Kong, U.K. and the U.S. in 30- second format on television, movie screens and in digital media. Kicking off in the U.S. on March 3rd, the campaign will air during programs in the U.S. such as ABC’s LIVE with Kelly, Good Morning America, and ABC primetime programs such as Speechless, Scandal, The Catch, Time After Time, and American Housewife.

 

“The new TV spot makes the connection between the movie and what we call accessible elegance, as we feature more than 900 castles as vacation destinations starting at only $20 per person a night,” added Stamstad.

 

The ad complements the company’s ‘Get HomeAway From it All’ brand campaign that launched at the beginning of the year, aimed at reminding travelers about the benefits of staying in vacation rentals. HomeAway created the new “Beauty and the Beast” ad in partnership with Saatchi & Saatchi, London. Crews filmed the commercial in Duns Castle, Scotland. Blue449 arranged the media planning and buying globally.

 

Travelers from France, Germany, Italy, U.K. and the U.S. can enter the #HomeAwayCastle prize drawing by visiting HomeAway.com/Disney until the competition closes on March 31, 2017.
