Right in town, Hillcrest Golf has a driving range and a mini par 3 golf course. In Kennebunk, Cape Arundel and Webhanet Golf Courses both offer 18-hole courses. Additionally, Dungrass and The Ledges are both award winning courses for the more experienced players. And, for the kids, not far away in Wells, Maine are several miniature golf courses that offer family friendly fun.

The Weather in Kennebunk Beach

The winters in Kennebunk Beach are often quite chilly with a good amount of snow. In fact, approximately 41 inches of snow falls annually in this area while the temperatures are in the 20s, 30s, and sometimes 40s. Spring comes to the area by April and lasts through early June. The temperatures are in the 50s and 60s as the flowers begin to sprout and the trees begin to bud. During the summer months, you will enjoy temperatures in the 70s, 80s, and occasionally the 90s. This area is usually quite comfortable in the summer and does not reach the 90s often. Fall arrives in late September and lasts through October with temperatures similar to the spring, as the leaves turn colors and fall off of the trees. Vising Kennebunk Beach in the summer is an ideal choice because the weather is pleasant. Late spring and early fall are also nice choices.

The Best Way to Get to Kennebunk Beach

The best way to reach Kennebunk Beach by car is to take the Maine Turnpike, also known as Interstate 95 until you see the highway signs for Kennebunkport and Kennebunk Beach. There are several options for those who choose to fly into the area. The two closest airports both require about a 30-minute drive after landing. You can fly into the Portland International Jetport or the Portsmouth International Airport. Boston’s Logan International Airport is about a 90-minute drive. Either way, you will have to secure ground transportation after landing. Rental cars are a good option. Those who choose to ride the rails to the area will be able to take Amtrak from Boston to Wells, ME, a 10-minute drive to Kennebunk Beach. Any method of travel that will get you to the area will ensure you have a great time.
