The Weather in Hershey

The weather in Hershey is dependent on the season. The summers have an average high temperature in the mid-80s with the evenings being a little cooler. Winter temperatures are quite cold with average highs in the 30s most of the time. It can get much colder at night, when the sun goes down. Hershey sees an average of about 31 inches of snow each winter. Spring and fall are moderate. Both see temperatures that can range from daytime highs in the 50s to the 70s with late spring and early fall seeing the warmer side. The best time of year to visit Hersey is in the summer when all of the attractions are in full swing. However, Hersheypark does offer Halloween and Christmas events that are also a lot of fun to attend.

How to Get to Hershey

Hershey is central to many locations and easy to access by many highways. You will find that if you decide to drive to Hershey, it is a convenient easy drive from most places. In addition, it is less than a 30-minute drive from Harrisburg. You will find that you can catch a plane into Harrisburg International Airport, or you can take a train into the train station there. Either way, you will have to drive the short distance to Hershey and this can be accomplished with a rental car. Otherwise, there are taxis that can take you the short distance from Harrisburg to Hershey. Hershey, known as “the sweetest place on Earth” makes a great vacation destination.
