Amusement Parks

Kissimmee is located directly adjacent to Orlando, home of many different amusement parks. Each themed to outdo the others, they all offer an assortment of rides, dining, shows, and more.

  • Disney World has four amusement parks and two water parks in addition to a shopping district. The amusement parks include the Magic Kingdom, which has themed lands and rides based on many original Walt Disney movies. Animal Kingdom explores the natural side of the parks with a safari ride, where one can see many animals up close.   • Universal Studios offers rides and attractions including dining. Harry Potter Fans will visit Diagon Alley. You will also meet the Minions, ride with the Simpsons, and experience a 3D adventure with the Transformers. The fun continues with a water park to cool off from all the excitement.
  • Sea World is home to many sea creatures. While there, you can visit Antarctica and see the penguins, or you can go to Dolphin Cove to see dolphins. There are rides and shows, dining, and shopping at the park.
  • Legoland is another theme park. This one is geared towards children ages 2 to 12 years of age who are fans of the Lego building blocks. There are more than 50 rides, shows, dining, and a waterpark available within the park. The park is divided into many lands to appeal to a wide variety of visitors.

Beaches Are Close to Kissimmee

It is hard to go to Florida and not visit the beach. There are beaches within an hour’s drive of Kissimmee. Cocoa Beach is just under an hour’s drive east of Kissimmee on the Atlantic Ocean. Clean beaches and sunny days make relaxation and play extra amusing. Kayak tours can also be arranged. If you prefer a beach on the Gulf Coast, you might choose to visit Fort De Sota Beach.

Dinner and a Show in Kissimmee

There are three dinner theatres located in Kissimmee, Florida. Medieval Times offers a horse show and Knights along with a traditional medieval dinner menu. The Best Ways to Get to Kissimmee

Kissimmee is an easy drive from many locations, and it is easy to access via highways. If your personal car is not big enough to hold enough luggage, you may consider renting a car. Flying into Kissimmee is also a great alternative. The Kissimmee Gateway Airport is convenient, but the Orlando International Airport is also not too far away. You may also choose to take a Greyhound bus or an Amtrak train. Kissimmee offers stations for both for your convenience
