The weather in Cape Haze can be stunning and you may find that you want to spend as much time as possible outdoors regardless of the time of year it is. This area has a humid subtropical climate paired with influences from the Gulf of Mexico to create warm, humid summers and short, mild winters. The rainiest months coincide with hurricane season and fall between July and September. The average highs in the summer months are in the 80s and 90s, and the average lows are in the 60s and 70s. In the winter months, the average highs are in the 70s and the average lows are in the 50s and 60s.
Cape Haze has an off-the-beaten-path location, which makes it a charming place to visit for those who want to get away from it all. However, it can make it more challenging to reach than other locations. You can fly into Fort Myers, or you can take a bus or train. From there, you can rent a car to travel the rest of the way into the Cape Haze area. From Fort Myers, you can take Interstate 75 north to Highway 776. Take Highway 776 west until you reach the exits for the Cape Haze community. This is a relatively short drive, but it does remove you from the hustle and bustle of the big city life in the Fort Myers area.
