Ocean Isle is located in Brunswick County, which services a 58-acre recreational area. This incredible sports park is located on the mainland and has a considerable amount of amenities for you to enjoy. This includes ball parks, tennis courts, festival grounds, biking trails and an amphitheater. In the nearby area, there are also many beach access areas in the Myrtle Beach area that include 67th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach State Park, Surfside Beach and Pier, Hurl Rock Park.

Ocean Isle is well-known for having some of the best beach weather on the East Coast. The area is ideally situated so that the summer weather is warm without being too hot on most days. The hottest month in July, with an average temperature in the low 90s. The coolest month is January, with an average high temperature in the high 50s. Likewise, the winters can be chilly, but they generally are more mild than what you will experience farther inland because of the warm ocean breezes. From spring through fall, however, the weather may wetter, and there is always the potential risk for a tropical storm or a hurricane to strike the area. The wettest months are July through September.

How to Get There

There are several different methods that you can use to get to Ocean Isle. For example, you could fly into the Myrtle Beach International Airport and drive northward to Ocean Isle. There are also other airports located throughout North Carolina in major metropolitan areas that you could fly into. If you plan to drive, Highway 17 runs just north of town. It connects to Highway 74 near Wilmington to the north and Highways 22 and 31 near Myrtle Beach to the south.
