This museum is chock-full of maritime history and heritage, and it is located right on the beachfront. It is home to roughly 1,800 artifacts and more than 1,000 photographs of the United States Life-Saving and Coast Guard Services. This is the great day activity when it rains or when you’re just looking to escape the heat.
First Landing State Park:
If you’re looking to get away from the busy beachfront, First Landing State Park is located on Cape Henry in North Virginia Beach. It spans more than 2,800 acres of land and is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Swimming, hiking, boating, fishing, jogging or just relaxing are perfect activities in the park.
