From stem to stern, the innkeepers of the Green Turtle have thought of everything one could desire at a B&B. From the complementary snacks and beverages in the galley, to the plush towels and toiletries in the two baths. Each item thoughtfully chosen, within reach but stowed away securely on board. We were met at the marina by Jon who greeted us with a warm handshake and an infectious smile. He ferried our gear down to the dock where we met Karen, who escorted us onto a beautiful, classic yacht. A luxury boat I've always imagined being on and here it was a reality! They showed us around, giving us instructions on the intricacies of such a fine vessel. They obviously loved their property and were eager to share some stories with us. Within a few minutes, it felt as if we were hanging out with old friends. What a wonderful couple! They exuded warmth but gave us our space and were never intrusive. We were joined by another couple, friends of ours and there was plenty of space for all of us to spread out. We were lucky to witness a late summer lightning storm pass over Boston from the cosy confines of the main cabin. It was quite a show! Karen and Jon suggested the Viking cab company to bring us over to Boston to the Steely Dan concert we were attending at the Seaport area. Our driver Brian assured us he would bring us back to Winthrop whenever we were ready. After a quick phone call, there he was at our agreed upon meeting spot. We enjoyed a great afternoon on the boat, an excellent evening in Boston and a wonderful night's sleep on board. In the morning we enjoyed our coffee overlooking the Boston skyline. Jon's breakfast sandwiches were out of this world. Thanks for sharing the secret ingredient! Anybody who loves the water will greatly appreciate this wonderful spot. Thank you Karen and Jon for your gracious hospitality. We will definitely be back to visit again!
