House is spectacular--just like in pictures. Traveled with 2 teenagers, who were thrilled with the kayaks and exploring the islands off the private beach. We wanted a secluded, private, QUIET vacation--and this fit the bill perfectly. Mr. Sands the care taker was extremely generous with his freshly picked tomatoes--in MARCH--what a treat! Definitely worth the trip to the local market for fresh veggies. He was also very helpful for us finding medical care. Snorkeling is better out near the islands, but the shallows near the beach are like a nursery for sea life--many baby fish, starfish, sand dollars, sponges, and rays. You can walk out to the first island at low tide--so fun! Like having your own giant private pool. Only saw 3 other people from the house down the beach a couple of times. Beds are comfy, and the kids appreciated the wi-fi. Make sure you wear long pants/sleeves if you plan to enjoy the beach night, the sand fleas will devour you. Easy travelling to many beaches-lots of variety on the island. Trips to looking glass bridge, Cape Eleuthera Institute, and Tippy's worth it. If you are looking for pure relaxation, reading/writing, family/couple bonding, kayaking, cooking your own meals in a nice relaxed pace, this is where you want to be. If you are looking for a Nassau type experience--this is NOT it (THANKFULLY!).
