This property is very well maintained and located the north end of Half Moon bay. The view from the floor to ceiling windows was spectacular, and you could open one section of windows to take it all in. There was always a strong breeze on the third floor of this condo, so we never had a problem cooling off. The beach and pool areas are so nice that a couple of mornings and afternoons we just lingered at the condo and had an occasional snorkel run out into the bay. The entry to the bay is a little shallow at low tide, but the payoff is the coral and sea fans out in the center. There are two resident sea turtles out there along with lots of fish.
One feature that is not described is the groovy rear porch with built in seating cushions, a table, and a hammock. We spent several evenings out on the back "porch" enjoying the view and our Cuban cigars. The kitchen was very well stocked.
If you go to Akumal make sure to stock up at the Super Chedrai grocery store in Puerto Aventuras before you get to Akumal. The prices at the grocery stores in Akumal are pretty high - especially the wine and Tequila! Maid service was great! We had fun practicing our Spanish with them. The building manager Hector was around quite a bit and very helpful. We always had a parking spot at the condo, and we recommend having at least a bicycle or car rental. It was a 2 KM walk from the condo to the town of Akumal.
If you go try to find the secret hidden beach XCACEL between the Grand Bahia Principe and XCARET. Evidently the sign blew down, so you have to watch for a dirt road entrance on the highway. Once you get in they ask for a donation. It is well worth it! Pristine white beaches with coconut trees for shade, and a small fresh water Cenote full of tiny fish that will nibble on your toes...
