Great Find

  • 5 of 5
Thank you, Caroline, for providing such a charming retreat. The cabin is cozy, comfortable and has everything you need to make your own meals, which you will want to do more frequently than you might think because the deck just off the kitchen seems like it is in the middle of a private forest. The bed is very comfortable, a big item for us, topped by a thick, warm quilt. There are portable heaters if you need them, but the cabin retains the day's heat and you probably won't need them during most of the year. There are many artistic touches throughout the property and the cabin itself. And, yes, in just a few minutes you can walk to downtown Mendocino, which we did several times. There is a farmer's market to check out and numerous excellent restaurants and hiking trails. Don't miss going down to one of the beaches, though those particular trails can be a bit steep. Photographic opportunities will keep you busy, too. Caroline has other rentals if this one is full. So glad we discovered this gem, Caroline!

Excellent Tiny House Experience

  • 5 of 5
This tiny cottage in the woods was a great place to stay near the Mendocino Village.
It was everything we had hoped for at a bargain price.
Max was a fine host, we did not get the pleasure of meeting Caroline, however she made the booking
process so smooth and easy.
The house was very well equipped, nice linens and comfortably furnished.
This is a perfect place for anyone interested in tiny house architecture, to try out life in a small space.
We found the separate bathroom not to be a problem and actually adding to the ambiance.
The kitchenette was adequate for preparing simple meals, although there are many good restaurants close by it was nice to have a few meals in our cozy cottage.
The cottage is a nice stroll to the village, especially if you can get your husband to push you back up the hill! All joking aside, the place made a perfect get away and we will not hesitate to go back. again.
