A lovely retreat for 10 nights for 6 of us ranging from 8 to 80 years old. The owner (who lived next door) was never anything other than helpful - they came round to check if we needed anything at the beginning of the holiday (even brought us a cake!). We had a flat tyre on our last day and again, they helped us.
We travelled with Agni Travel, who were OK'ish. They sent a couple of texts asking if everything was OK and then completely ignored the responses! Anyway, the owner sorted us out in 10 mins.
The villa was in a gorgeous location - although it's not as close to the beach/restaurants as stated (you really, really need a car!), it did feel like you were away from it all but still had some great restaurants within a 10 minute drive.
The secluded pool was well maintained - there are 4 sunbeds and a natural parasol (although these have seen better days). We didn't use the BBQ or do any cooking but there was everything you needed (should you wish - nor did I do any washing!). Both the Sea and Inland views (depending on your bedroom) were beautiful and there was a true feeling of tranquility.
The only negative comment I have is the quality of towels (and bedspreads) - they are so thin and scratchy.
We ate out every evening in different restaurants, usually in Latchi or Polis and found most of the restaurants to be of a really good standard. Prices were similar to UK for eating out. A typical Greek Dish such as Stiffado/Kleftico etc. was between 12 and 16 euros - kids meals were around 5 euros. A bottle of Keo beer was anywhere between 1.8 to 3 Euros and a Smirnoff Ice between 3 - 5 Euros. Evening meal cost between 70 - 90 Euros for 5 usually including starters and a main (no dessert tho). Our cheapest meal was at the Souli (in Latchi), our favourite meal was at Molos in Latchi. SeaFare and Faros were also favourites - both in Latchi. We went to Moustakallis in Polis for the bbq which came highly recommended - it was OK. BBQ food had mostly sold out by 8pm.
Pizza Hut was 18.50 for two large pizzas.
The supermarkets were more expensive.
We also rented a motor boat for the day from Latchi Water Sports Centre, which seemed like a really professional organisation who took safety very seriously. We paid 112 Euros for four hours and used about 20 euros worth of petrol. This was for a mid range boat with a donut/rubber ring type thing that we could pull along behind us.
Otherwise it was totally chilled - perfick!
