This was our first stay in Siesta Key, Florida, and I have to say it was absolutely charming. Our condo was comfortable, very clean, and welcoming. We all enjoyed coming home there after the end of a long day at the beach or running around Sarasota. This condo was also priced so reasonably and well worth it. The owners were accommodating and kind, great at communication. The grounds are so scenic here with lots of grassy areas and the intercoastal waterway flowing in behind (fishermen and kayakers will love it), and Crescent Beach is an enchanting place to take long walks on the beach and watch the sunsets! Also, we went to see The Ringling Art Museum and grounds and John and Mabel Ringling's gracious home in Sarasota, and anyone visiting this area would love that experience. One day we also went kayaking with Adventure Kayak Outfitters. Dan was our guide, and he was so informative and fun :). We saw manatees bobbing in the water right off the bat! As far as driving in this area, it's a breeze...not real trafficky in Sarasota, lots to see and do, great places to shop so bring your car/van or rent a car. Grab your groceries at a Publix store before coming over the Stickney Bridge onto Midnight Pass Road. The Village in Siesta Key is a fun place to shop, too. Mmmm, Ciao Gelatto has my <3!
Now back to the beaches...We went to Siesta Key Public Beach (great concession stand and this one has restrooms), Crescent Beach, Turtle Beach, and Lido Beach. All were beautiful! Siesta Key and Crescent Beaches were our favorites. The soft white sand is heavenly. The water is this exquisite mix of azure blues and pale aqua greens, with gentle lapping waves. We stayed in the ocean all day! Turtle Beach is great for fishermen, too. Lido was nice and quiet with a concession stand whose food was delicious. The bottom line is you can't go wrong when visiting Siesta Key. It's a sweet vacation spot. You might even end up wanting to live there! I know I do!
