The villa is large, comfortable, well equipped and has a fabulous pool. There was a welcome pack awaiting our arrival which was indeed, welcome! There are 2 small supermarkets nearby with the larger ones a few minutes drive or dolmus ride away. The local bar, JKs, only a couple of minutes walk away showed the World Cup games on a large outdoor screen so we could keep abreast of England's fortunes. There is a local dive school and beach at the bottom of the road opposite JKs if you fancy either. Sardunya Bay is an easy 20 minute stroll and has a sandy beach, cafe bar and free wi-fi. a good combination! Silver Rocks is most definitely a must, be warned, there are no small portions here! The food is lovely, the waiters friendly and the views are amazing. A fabulous place to have dinner and watch the sun set. Walk there to work up an appetite and walk back to work some of the food off!
Back at the villa, breakfast on the back terrace in the comfy director chairs, lunch and pre dinner drinks by the pool and an evening bbq on the back terrace keep one in the shade - a requisite at times!! The private pool was a welcome luxury during our stay given the fabulous weather we had while we were there.
We found the villa well placed for a quiet, relaxing holiday and as a fabulous base from which to explore the surrounding areas. We travelled to Kyrenia and Famagusta during our stay, both are easy to find and lovely to spend the day exploring. The harbour and castle in Kyrenia were very picturesque and the historic ruins in the walled city in Famagusta were incredibly interesting. Lunch in the square opposite the old cathedral was a picturesque place to start our exploration of Famagusta. Parking was free in Famagusta.
We loved our stay and came home relaxed and refreshed. We would recommend the villa to all our friends and family.
