We stayed around 10 days at the Masseria Conce, and it has been just 100% pleasure: Anke & Franco are lovely persons, we were just glad to meet them and despite a few funny misunderstandings due to the language (Anke speaks very well English and both speak a little bit French), we had a great time in their company! They are always there if needed, and give very good advises on things to see/places to go if needed without insisting.
The studio (La Stella) was just perfect for the two of us, with all the utensils needed for preparing our meals. We had our own private terrace upstairs, and on the ground floor as well (enjoyed at different times of the day). Everything is perfectly clean, bed is good. In summer the temperature is quite high in the bedroom but it's equipped with a silent A/C so no problem at all for sleeping well.
We had a glance at the other studio when empty, it is larger, and lovely as well.
The Masseria is located in the heart of the Salento, in a quiet part of the countryside (no loud car traffic around), but 2 min away from a local supermarket with butchery & fishery stands and local products (everything tasted good! Fruits, vegetables from local farms, and local cheeses) and restaurants as well are available nearby.
The cities to visit are 30 min away max (Otrante: 15min, Lecce, Gallipoli, Galatina: 30min, etc.) across several hundred-year-old Olives trees fields.
and splendid clear-water beaches are also btw 20 to 30 min driving.
We finally enjoyed the localisation as in August, there is the famous itinerant Notte della Taranta festival and we drove to different free concerts almost every night, within a perimeter of 15kms max.
I know already that if we travel again to the Salento, we will definitively go back to Anke & Franco's, and nowhere else!
