Serene, Comfortable Condo in a Lovely Setting
An exceptionally beautiful place to spend a vacation! The property is situated in a gorgeous area and is very beautiful and well-maintained inside as well as the pool and grill area. Our condo was spacious, comfortable, afforded sufficient privacy and offered Internet access. The entire feeling is wonderfully intimate and relaxed.
The people in the office were very welcoming when we arrived, and made it clear that they would have been available if we'd needed them, but we never did.
We spent the first week without a car and could manage very well. The closest shopping places are a 12 minute-walk away, and 2 minutes from the nearest bus stop. Almost the whole island can be accessed by public bus. For 4 dollars you have a day pass for all the busses on the Island. A single fare is 2 dollars.
From the condo you have an awesome view to the ocean. To start the day with breakfast on the balcony is one of the highlights. The condo is, as shown on the pictures, it is well maintained and has all you need for a comfortable stay. We spent our second honeymoon last April and we sure will return some day.
The Maui Ocean Center, located next to Ma’alaea Harbor, is a 3-acre state-of-the-art marine facility. A very cool aquarium, worth seeing! Next to it is Buzz's Wharf with it’s most spectacular views on Maui. A family run restaurant, specialize in the own unique brand of American, Hawaiian and Tahitian foods. Sunset views are a part of every dinner seating and you can see the Humpback whales play during the winter time.
An other beautiful place is Lahaina. It was the major whaling port and fishing town, thanks to the calm harbor and it’s location on the whale migration routes. Lahaina served as the seat of government for over 50 years. For a break visit the Moose McGillycuddy's, it has a dynamic combination. From a variety of delicious burgers and sandwiches, healthy salads, delicious pasta, great steaks and seafood, you are sure to find something. If you're looking for nightlife, you can find it at Moose’s.
To top off our trip we went to the MACC (The Maui Arts & Cultural Center) in Kahului to see James Taylor life.
Definitely staying here next time again. You are close to the beach from black rock, so greatest place for snorkeling!
