We had a great 4 night stay over Thanksgiving. The Loft was nicely appointed, really cool, quirky, with fun decorating details - like a giant, round floor cushion in the front of the Loft. The reading hammock in back, near an easy-to-use gas stove was splendid. There was an old vinyl collection to play - that was an honor to be trusted with - and, quite frankly, a gem. Hearing Bing Crosby sing White Christmas on vinyl was something very special. The kitchen had everything you need, plus more. There was a professional quality, gas burner stove with everything for cooking at your fingertips. The deck would have been super in the summer - but, our dog enjoyed it splendidly even in winter (fully gated to prevent escape). The only reason it was not five-star was the bar next door was a bit loud at night. But, really, you have to expect that staying in the little downtown. It has nothing to do with the cleanliness or like-ability of the Loft itself. Stores, restaurants, and shopping were all within walking distance and we did not have enough time to explore everything. Honestly, we liked hanging out at the Loft! Rae (the owner) was easy to deal with, totally non-invasive (owns the coolest chocolate store downstairs - Lucky Chocolates), and she made the trip uncomplicated and a breeze. It is a fun get-away and recommended for anyone needing a different kinda' break from the same old, whether you are young, old, tired or ready for action. Great price for the amount of space, too. The place was much larger than the pictures suggest.
