Villa Dos Gatos is a wonderful house to spend your vacation at. Thank you to Peter, Woody, and the staff for doing all that they could to make us comfortable. Though we had issues with the pool and did not get to swim in it, Woody worked diligently to correct the problem. Reygis the security guard is a great guy.
Things you should know:
The beach is roughly 100 steps (across the road ) from the front door. Wow!
The road does have some noticeable traffic, but it is not bad.
If on your way to Parrita to buy a few things, grab some mangos from the backyard to feed the monkeys at bridge exiting “PLAYA PALO SECO”.
You can swim for free at Coco Mar and Clandestino Beach Resort (if you purchase a café or beverage)
Take all Peters advise about shopping in Jaco before arriving to Villa dos Gatos.
Zuma Car Rentals in Jaco is the way to go! Other companies are a joke.
If you have a fav “beverage” pack TWO, or grab it at duty free on your way.
Pack some eco – friendly paper plates, cups, and forks (there is no dishwasher) and you do not want to become one.
Pack your fav snacks (just pack a carry on)
Definitely pack a can of mosquito repellant per person per week.
If you are out exploring:
We found great fish in between Jaco and Parrita near the restaurant Sin Rival (decent food give is a shot) and in Quepos.
Ziplining – ask Woody (Sky Mountain - he will refer you to the lady that works at the bar before exiting the isle. FYI, Sky mountain is on the LEFT 3.5k up the mountain. DO NOT PASS IT!!!
Again thank you to Peter, Woody, and the staff.
