Second stay at Cantamar and second review for this condo. It really is a fantastic place to stay. A couple of things we did different in 2014; Eduardo hooked us up with a cook named Yobanni (sp?) who came in twice and cooked us authentic Mayan Cuisine. By the time we paid for the food and paid Yobanni, it worked out to be around $8 per person. Pretty good deal if you ask me. We probably could've done it cheaper because we had tons of leftovers. Make sure you try his haberno salsa, it hurts but only a little.
The other thing is; when I jogged there last year, for some reason I only went south. This year I went north and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the run paths are and how little traffic there is at that end. Just another reason to love the location of Cantamar.
Eduardo also had the refrigerator stocked with deli meats, bread, condiments and cerveza which we reimbursed him for upon our arrival. Let me tell you how convenient that was after leaving Washington DC at 0545 and arriving in Cozumel at noon. To get to the condo and have food already there made for a great first day as we could relax without having to make a beer run or grocery run.
Oh and dont let me forget Marcello, the maintenance guy. He keeps the grounds around the condo spotless and is helpful should you require more water, hauling luggage or just about anything else.
