My extended family spent 3 days here around a wedding and totally enjoyed it. The house we well located for the things that we like to do (beach activities, hiking, geo-caching) and extremely comfortable for our party of 7.

Picture-Perfect in Holland, MI

My extended family and I recently rented this cottage for a 4-day stay. We were very pleased. The location of the cottage is ideal. It is a short walk to Lake Michigan, either to the public beach OR to a lovely private beach (which is shared with other cottages in the Ottawa Beach Historic District), a short walk to Mt. Pisgah (a large sand dune with an extended stairway of 200+ steps that allows one to ascend to great views of Lake Michigan), and an across-the-street walk to a picturesque general store/ice cream parlor (which we visited SEVERAL times).

The cottage decor is eclectic, with a mixture of styles apparent. It is well maintained, very clean, and has amenities such as air conditioning and WiFi, plus two full bathrooms and plenty of sleeping accommodations. There are 5 bedrooms upstairs (#1--queen-sized futon; #2--queen bed; #3/master bedroom--queen bed plus lots of floor space for cots/sleeping bags; #4--queen bed plus twin and pull out twin bed (for a total of 4 people); and #5--two twin beds. There is also a small "bonus" bedroom on the first floor with a twin bed.

In regard to parking: up to four cars can park in the area allotted to the cottage. There is also an area of off-street parking nearby (on the shoulder of the road), but one must be careful that no part of the vehicle is on the road pavement, or a ticket is possible - especially on the weekend.

My one complaint is that surface of the dining room table is wonky and unstable and should be repaired.

Overall, we had an excellent experience and would not hesitate to rent this cottage again.
