Had a fantastic stay in Compass Bay (Harvest Property). The location is well situated for all that Orlando has to offer, even walking distance to local restaurants such as Olive Garden & TGI's. The property is very well kept with loads of space and utilities to make your stay a home from home feel. Highly recommend this property and location.

Absolutely Fantastic

We stayed for a week in the property late June this year with a party of 6 (4 adults and 2 children aged 8 & 6). Pictures on the site and the 360 tour that is on the properties own site don’t do it justice.

Our mornings soon consisted of getting up pretty early and sitting out on the patio overlooking the lake having breakfast with the ducks paying a visit. Then it was off to the superb heated communal pool with the kids which is only a 150 yard stroll away along the very quiet street – no need for shoes or flip flops !. Changing facilities and rest rooms are located there as well. After this is was mainly theme parks and shops, we had a car so disney was around 15/20 mins away, Universal around 30-35 mins and Legoland 45 mins. If you are not travelling by car there are Lynx service buses which go to Disney from highway 192 which is a 5 min walk from the property. For other local attractions like Old Town ( 2 miles away) cab fares are relatively cheap – just make sure you use mears and not a private hire place. We were quoted $35-$40 for a private cab to Downtown Disney and it cost us $20 with Mears.

Within walking distance of the house are loads of resruarants and we made use of the Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel & the Longhorn Steakhouse, the olive garden is a particular bargain for lunch these days. There is a 7/11 store less than 300 yards from the house as well for stocking up – Walmart, Publix and Super Target can be walked to as well but they are probably just over a mile away. We also played golf at the nearest course (Falcons Fire) which is a 10 minute drive away, or again a $10 cab fare.

As for the house itself there is everything that you can possibly need, and it was spotless, very comfortable and everything worked. We all loved the converted garage with the pool / air hockey table and dart board. We also found it a great place to hang up clothes to dry after using the laundry facilities which are in a utility room upstairs. Also, all the furniture, decoration and beds are great – not a bad nights sleep amongst us. There were tonnes of fresh towels and linen too and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. The kids play are is really good too, just round the lake and is sheltered by large oak trees. We have always stayed in hotels on International drive and this was our first house stay - the whole complex felt quiet and safe and we look forward to hopefully going back in the future.
