Lovely!

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here with my parents and this place was perfect for us. The house itself is a lovely mixture of old and new with all the modern conveniences you could need. My husband and I love to cook and find exploring local markets half the fun of a holiday and this place was so well-equipped it made it easy to whip up fantastic meals. The house was spacious, the beds were comfy, and the grounds were lovely. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The location is in a scenic and quiet area, yet close enough to take day trips to many points of interest. The owners were incredibly helpful both before and during the rental. They provided an extensive list of recommendations for day trips, restaurants, and other helpful hints. They even programmed a GPS with favourites which proved to be invaluable on many occasions. A particularly nice touch was the welcome basket of food which was far more extensive than we expected and a nice touch upon arriving after a long flight. My husband and I have rented at least a dozen houses in nearly as many countries and this one was easily the best appointed. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience

  • 5 of 5
It is difficult to put into words what a magnificent and memorable experience we had at La Cappella. We have traveled extensively but this was indeed the crowning jewel. We were fortunate enought to spend a month at La Cappella sharing it with our children and grandchildren (ages 3-8) for overlapping visits. All three generations fell in love with this charming farmhouse, Jude and Rich and Luna, its four-legged ambassador. La Cappella more than lived up to the representations made on its website. There was careful attention to every detail to make it as welcoming and comfortable as possible. Its location is in a rural Italian countryside which contributed to the peaceful, relaxing feeling one gets there. While rural, it is not far from many hill towns and attractions perfect for day trips. Returning home to La Cappella to dine under the pergola and recount the days activities was joyful. There are beautiful flowers (roses and hydrangeas while we were there) and fruit trees around the property and, of course, clusters of grapes hanging above the dining table on the patio.
Jude and Rich prepared a book of information that proved to be our daily go-to guide. It covered everything we needed to know. If any questions arose, however, they were right there to ask. They have a lovely apartment to the rear of the villa which is completely separate. Never intrusive, they were always willing to help. Having them there was an extraordinary advantage. The boiok included itineraries for numerous day trips to hill towns and cities, the beach,, thermal bathes, hikes, adventure opportunities, etc. They even had a GPS programmed for some of these sites which we were welcome to use.
We reserved La Cappella as a celebration of our 50th anniversary. Our children and grandchildren visited making us eleven people at the height. There was plenty of room and provisions for children such as high chair, beach toys, legos, games, croquet and so on. It was heart-warming to share this experience with our family. We could not have chosen a better place for our celebration.
So, the place is perfect, the location is peacefully away from the city pace yet close to so many ancient towns and sites, the amenities are first rate and the hosts provide everything they can to make a stay at La Cappella all encompassing. Quite a recipe for a vacation well-spent! It comes with our highest recommendation.
